Energy Saving Schemes

There are several ways of saving electricity in the home and not to forget business premises too.But the easiest example would be to look at lighting as this can make a large percentage of a consumer's electricity bill.

Let's take the domestic household as an example:

The most common way of saving energy and reducing your electricity bills in the home is quite simple. So whether you own the property or simply just rent it, making these changes can make a huge impact on the green footprint too!

With popularity of spotlights in the home (mainly kitchens and bathrooms) the most common light source would be halogen. There are 2 other alternatives to this option, Compact Fluorescents (CFL, s) and LED.

By switching to these alternatives, you are guaranteed to reclaim the expense of replacing the lamps in the first place and anything extra is a SAVING!

In the commercial premises for example:

By fitting daylight control and occupancy sensors to lighting, is a sure way of reducing the lighting bills by using the latest in dimming technology. This will automatically dim the lighting accordingly by compensating for the amount of daylight in the room and occupancy control will simply time out when no persons are present within its field of vision.

Besides lighting, there are other obvious ways of cutting costs, switching appliances off completely whilst not in use and switching your everyday appliances i.e. kettles, toaster, fridge freezers etc to an energy saving model.

So remember, any saving is a SAVING!.
